Porcupine at the Cape of Good Hope in daylight!

Buy video

I spotted a porcupine (Hystrix africaeaustralis) active near the Cape of Good Hope / Cape Point in daylight. They're nocturnal animals so a daytime sighting is rare! It was unfazed by human presence and kept on scratching on the surface to expose fleshy roots/bulb to feed on.
One could sit nearby it and capture images /video without it being disturbed.
I stuck around until closing time to ensure it did not move into the nearby road and have a car hit it. All was well and it stayed in the vegetation.
