BEAUTY HACK | DIY DRY SHAMPOO

Oh dry shampoo! One of my best friends. We all have those mornings and evenings when you just don't have time to wash your hair or you just don't have the energy to do it.  I have really long, thick hair, so this can be a regular occurrence for me! Dry shampoo to the rescue!

Store bought aerosol dry shampoos, whilst convenient and helpful, are not the healthiest for our hair and scalp. They contain things such as butane, propane and isobutane, which can be drying, create dandruff and block pores. They can also be pricey. Making it yourself is a super cheap and much healthier alternative.

This homemade recipe is fast to make,  smells amazing, and is actually pretty good for your hair and scalp. The Cornstarch and baking soda soak up excessive oil. Adding cocoa powder customises the colour to suit your hair so you don't end up looking 25 years older than you actually are, and the combination with peppermint essential oil makes this smell like mint chocolate. Hello! Peppermint essential oil also gets ride of the dirty scalp itch.
