Residents of Chinese in Padang West Sumatra, Friday, March 2, 2018 held a welcoming parade Cap Go Meh. They paraded Kio or stretcher of gods from each clan in the city of Padang. Before being paraded with dozens of other Kio, centipedes and lion dances, they went first to See Hin Kiong Temple to ask for prayers and blessings for the procession to run smoothly. Cap Go Meh itself is the peak of Lunar New Year, or 15 days after the Chinese New Year's Eve.
