A clubgoer filmed a spooked horse inside the Mokai Lounge in Miami Beach, Florida, on March 8. The incident sparked outrage on social media from people concerned about animal abuse.

The video shows a bikini-clad woman in a crowded club getting thrown off the frightened horse after it drops to the floor.

“A change.org petition entitled, ‘Miami Beach Police: Take action for animal abuse in Miami night club Mokai,’ was quickly set up by a concerned citizen named Laura Sosa,” the Miami Herald reported.

Last night I noticed a bunch of pictures & videos posted of a horse in a Miami nightclub and it made my stomach sick. I wanted to reach out to my Facebook friends and see if I could get some help bringing much needed attention to something as sick and cruel as this.
***This is considered animal CRUELTY and is beyond UNACCEPTABLE.***
Shame on Mokai Lounge for ever allowing this to happen. I’ve reached out to local law enforcement and am hoping to hear back. I will also be sending this disturbing video to local news stations in hopes this nightclub can be penalized for the abuse of a poor and helpless animal. This is inhumane and deserves serious attention ASAP.
