Powerful footage students walking in solidarity in honour of the fallen victims of the Marjoryy Stoneman Douglas High School shooting.

The video was shot at 09:56am on March 14, 2018 duPont Manual High School in Louisville, KY.

In the video the students, who represented the majority of the student body walked out in perfect silence at 09:50am and returned at roughly around 10:25am. A small group of students who also held blown up pictures of the slain students during a minute of silence for each of the students that were lost in the tragic shooting.

The filmer, Liz Palmer, a teacher at the school noted that she has "never seen the student body this quiet".

The students also honoured more local victims of the shooting at Marshall County High School in Kentucky.

The participants, representing the majority of student body, walked out in perfect silence at 9:50 am and returned to class at roughly 10:25. They held a full minute of silence for each student lost.

A small group of students faced the rest of the student body, individually holding blown up pictures of the slain students during the minute that student was memorialized.

The school's administration made clear that they were neither in support or opposition to the walkout and made a point not to assist with the planning of the event, though they arranged a police presence, placed staff around the perimeter, and agreed not to punish participants.

Students choosing not to participate continued to receive instruction from their teachers during the walkout.
