This is the terrifying moment a plank struck a 10-month-old baby sitting in a stroller after it was thrown out of a residential building in southern China's Chongqing City.

In mobile phone footage of CCTV video, filmed on March 16, a plank weighing approximately 2kg falls onto the baby as his grandmother pushed him in a stroller.

After the plank strikes, the grandmother picks up the baby.

She later took him to hospital, local reports said.

According to reports, the plank was thrown out of a high building by someone and police were investigating.

The infant was injured but is not in critical condition, local media said.
