This is the amazing moment a joyful busker was captured on camera entertaining New York City subway commuters with an impromptu performance of "Lean on Me."

The footage, captured on March 17, shows the man showing off his amazing singing skills as people in the train join him in the Bill Wither's hit.

As well as singing, the man also makes a percussive sound with loose change rattling around a paper cup.

According to the filmer, the man was likely homeless.

The filmer writes: ''During our commute heading uptown, this gentleman came on the train.

''Immediately his energy was infectious and before we knew it, we were all singing.

''We usually hear horror stories about NYC, particularly when it comes to the MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority) so as a native New Yorker I felt it necessary to capture a magical moment.''
