Shocking footage shows a car spinning out of control as icy conditions grip England due to the "Mini Beast from the East".

Dashcam video shows a hatchback attempting to overtake a vehicle on the A329 outside of Reading just before midnight on 18 March.

The car then skids out of control and collides with the left-hand saftey barrier, causing the filmer's car to smash into the hatchback.

Much of England was covered in snow this weekend after a cold front brought widespread travel disruption.

In Cornwall and Devon, police issued travel warnings on roads such as the A30 and advised motorists to delay their journeys.
