I went to Mansfield Town FC to follow my team Tranmere in the League 2 game, and throughout the game some Tranmere fans had been unhappy with the Stewards/Police after being asked to sit down despite the whole of the stand being seated 80% of the Tranmere fans were stood for the whole game despite the loss. After not taking a seat and carrying on to stand the stewards got annoyed with the fans infront of the goal and decided to escort one out causing our fans to follow this steward in a pack and ended up crushing eachother over the gates at the front of the stand, the stewards then called for the police to handle with the situation, on 0.37 one of the police men decides to repeatedly hit a fan with a baton as clearly shown causing outrage from the Rovers faithful with comments like ‘dirty pigs’ and many more coming from behind me aimed at the police as me and the rest of the fans came only to support our team (which we did and loudly) and instead were pestered by stewards to sit down at a football game... and in some cases assaulted by policemen with weapons..
