A noisy but peaceful strike - South African style
Industrial relations in South Africa have much more colour and movement than in most other countries. These workers and union officials were protesting outside the Wimpy fast food restaurant in Komatipoort, South Africa I January 2014. They were picketing the restaurant because they claimed that the manager had reneged on a promise to pay them bonuses. The protesters were singing, swaying, playing a vuvuzela and holding makeshift cardboard placards.
