I was on a flight to the Philippines and half way through the air hostess announced that now was time to play some games. I thought ‘well, that sounds interesting, I’ve never been on a plane before where everyone joins in playing a game.’

One air hostess asked pub quiz style questions over the announcer while the others stood in their safety announcement positions. People with the right answers put their hands up, and the hostesses gave them tote bags.

The young lad sitting next to me got one question right and he was delighted. He had a big smile on his face.

More airlines should have pub quizzes during the flight. There were no TVs onboard, it was an Airbus A330. So I suppose this is a good form of entertainment. It was majority Philippines people on board flying home from neighbouring Bangkok, Thailand.
