Hundreds of visitors became stranded at China's second most-popular tourist attraction in southern Chongqing City on April 29.

The clip, filmed from a high building, shows a huge number of tourists and vehicles at a standstill on a street at Hongyadong, a waterfront attraction where the Yangtze and Jialing rivers meet.

According to reports, the number of visitors reached 45,000 every day during the three-day Labour Day holiday.

The traffic department limited the number of tourists and only allowed visitors to depart.
