Fenchurch Street lockdown after suspicious vehicle found
City of London Police tweeted: "Fenchurch Street is currently closed while our officers assess an abandoned vehicle."
Reports say a suspicious-looking van was spotted outside a branch of Marks and Spencer on Fenchurch Street — just metres from the Bank of England and other important financial institutions.
Hundreds of workers were evacuated out of nearby offices and shops.
The vehicle was eventually deemed non-suspicious and police lifted the cordon.
