Cop helps out proposal by 'arresting' groom-to-be but it nearly backfires
Carlos was determined to make his proposal to girlfriend Brittni one to remember.
To do so, he staged an elaborate prank, enlisting the help of Brittni's whole family and even the police.
J Danielle, the cousin to Brittni, decided to film the proposal when Carlos told her he was going to involve the local police department.
In the clip, filmed earlier this week by Brittni's cousin J Danielle in Lafayette, Louisiana, Carlos is being detained inside the police car while a cop is telling Brittni and her party of friends to get back inside the hotel. And it doesn't sound like he's messing about.
The policeman finally lets Carlos out of the police car and goes back inside the building with his girlfriend.
After a kerfuffle, Carlos gets down on one knee and proposes.
The risky prank nearly backfires as a stunned Brittni walks away. But in the end, the answer is what Carlos wants to hear.
“She was very surprised and in shock, which turned out to be a very happy moment for her,” writes J Danielle.
