This crazy dashcam video shows how two horse-drawn carriages created chaos on the A189 in Northumberland.

The traps are side by side across both lanes of the dual carriageway near Blyth.

here is nearly an accident as vehicles queue up behind them.

Drivers can be seen to swerve sharply to avoid the carriages and each other.

The dashcam vehicle merges onto the A189 at the start of the video.

You can see the horse-and-traps leading a convoy of traffic ahead of them.

The camera follows as those behind the carts swerve dangerously for positions on the road, which could have caused a pile-up.

A Northumbria Police spokeswoman said the force “was aware” of the video.
