Highlights Of Amazing Torbay Airshow In 4K
These are the highlights of the Torbay Air show in 2018 viewed from Paignton in Devon, England. The Paignton beach is packed with visitors as the Red Arrow aerobatics team of the Royal Air Force display team make a grand entrance into the show with their trailing red, white and blue smoke displaying their flying formation like this Red Arrows Corkscrew.
Next up is the amazing Biplane Pitts S2S G-EWIZ, flying in over the Paignton pier. Tumbling through the sky, wearing a marvellous colour design based on the Union Jack. We also have the Blades Aerobatic Team flying the low-wing, high performance aircraft Extra EA-300s. They have flown more than 600 displays around the world.
Also showing off their great display are the Tigers freefall parachute display team, formed over 20 years ago and made up of experienced parachutists from the Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment, also showing off the Union Jack.
The Bronco Display Team up next showing off the unique airplane, characteristics and agility of the propeller driven OV-10 Bronco. It is a turboprop light attack and observation aircraft. It was developed in the 1960’s for counter insurgency (COIN) combat.
At 2pm you saw the Battle of memorial flight (BBMF) , the Dakota C-47 & Lancaster.
The RAF Chinook Display Team making a fabulous entrance over Torquay with the big wheel and Seafront in the background. You'll also see a close up of this extremely capable and highly versatile support helicopter.
Torbay is a borough in Devon, England, also called "The English Riviera" with the towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham.
