This boy decided that nothing was going to get in the way of his summer chillaxing – not even floods severe enough to warrant a state of emergency in much of southern Texas.

The video, taken by Jeannette Moreno on June 19 and shared to Twitter, shows the neighborhood completely flooded. As the camera zooms in, we see her seven-year-old nephew lounging on a pink inflatable float and gazing up to the sky.

"I had the idea of blowing it up and he loves an adventure," Moreno told Newsflare. "He was excited to make the best of the flood since we had no where else to go but to stay home!"

Moreno lives in McAllen, a southern Texas city that was ravaged by heavy rainstorms and widespread flooding since the start of the week. Authorities have called this the state's worst floods since Hurricane Harvey devastated the area last year.
