The Pioneer in Pointe Claire Village is part of our community. Thank you for the ice water placed outside to encourage rehydration during this extreme heatwave. The Pioneer were the only establishment in the Village who today thought of their fellow human beings needs. Pointe Claire City should have helped preserve our local heritage by making sure the owners kept the building in good condition . Why were the owners of the Pioneer not forced to uphold building regulations and standards set out by Pointe Claire City ? Is it because the city of Pointe Claire will benefit more from the collection of municipality taxes with the proposed development of the site as condominiums and Town Houses ?
