The ladies took a liking to the cardboard cutout and decided to take him home for reasons unknown to the filmer. The pair initially walked past the Brazilian football legend, taking a moment of consideration before doubling back and kidnapping the player.

The real Neymar became something of a meme over the World Cup period, with droves of people mocking his rolling on Twitter.

He, along with the rest of the Brazilian team, has already returned home. The national team's bus was allegedly pelted with eggs as it rolled through the Brazilian countryside, according to football magazine Four Four Two.
