A woman had a lucky escape recently in India when a bus hit the scooter she was riding from behind and dragged it down a busy road.

The female scooter rider narrowly avoided being crushed by the passenger vehicle.

CCTV footage captured the terrifying incident, which took place in Osmanabad, Maharashtra, India earlier this month.

Amazingly, the scooter rider emerged from the accident without a scratch, although she can be seen in the footage walking away deeply shocked by what happened.

Local police officials said her scooter was completely destroyed. They have filed a case against the bus driver for rash driving.
