New Squire for the Morris Ring of England
The 443rd Meeting of the Morris Ring (the association of Morris dance clubs formed 80 years ago) was held over this weekend. Hosts were the Dartington Morris Men and the event was held in Dartmouth, Devon. Robin Springett – of the Dartington club – has been Squire of the Morris Ring for the last two years. The Squire 'dances' himself out of office at the end of his term and the the new Squire, Adam Garland of East Suffolk Morris Men, 'dances' himself in.
