40,000-acre Ferguson Fire shrouds Yosemite National Park in smoky yellow hue
Yosemite National Park remains shrouded in a cloud of yellow smoke as the Ferguson Fire continues to burn.
The fire has scorched over 40,000 acres since it began around two weeks ago. Close to 3,000 personnel have been involved in fighting the flames.
This video, shared to Facebook by Wilf Carter on July 25, shows the popular park covered in smoke.
Earlier, park rangers evacuated thousands of vacationers who were camping at the park due to threats from the approaching wildfire. Part of the park was shut to allow fire crews to perform protective measures.
As of Wednesday morning, the fire was 25% contained but continues to prompt mandatory evacuations.
