Dog rescue from scorching heat

This occurred at the Super 1 foods on ambassador Caffery in Lafayette, Louisiana. I was outside sitting with the LHS dance team with my daughter doing a fundraiser and had noticed a dog barking for at least 15 minutes. After looking around the parking lot I noticed a small poodle barking in a parked car which had cracks in all four windows. The temperature that day was at in the upper 90’s. This guy and his girlfriend walked by the car and noticed the dog as well. They both entered the store and came out 10 min later when he decided to take action. He then went to his truck to get something to break the glass. Once he rescued the dog he went into the store and had the management page the owner of the car. She was called several times before ever coming to the front of the store. Once she arrived he handed her the dog told her not to leave dogs in a hot car and left. The owner did not call the police. She cleaned off the glass and then sat in her car until the rest of the family came out which took well over an hour from when I noticed the dog in the car until the last family member
came out of the store. Had this Samaritan not gotten the dog out when he did. It would have been over an hour of being trapped in the scorching heat of the car.
