'You're asking for trouble!' Driver films 'idiot' UK cyclist tailgating HGV

A driver captured a cyclist riding dangerously close behind an HGV in order to "slipstream".

Dashcam footage captured on August 15 in Nottingham shows the rider practically sticking to the truck's rear bumper as it exits a roundabout.

The filmer claims the cyclist was trying to "slipstream" – removing wind drag by sitting behind a larger vehicle.

But the manoeuvre also placed the cyclist in the lorry's blind spot, meaning the HGV driver would not be able to see him.

The camera car driver was not impressed, saying: "You're asking for trouble doing that, mate.

"You're an idiot."
