Two motorcycles collided during a warmup lap for a Russian Superbike Championship race on August 17.

“This was the warmup lap during a SO600/SO1000 race in the last round of the Russian Superbike Championship,” the filmer said.

“It was the last straight part of the track, and we had to go into the race immediately after that without making another grid,” the filmer explained. "So the safety car slowed down to bring all riders closer.”

“Finally, we have practically stopped,” the filmer said. “It seems that this guy pushed the brake lever while still accelerating.”

The filmer said the rider who hit the motorbike in front of him broke four ribs and his collarbone and sustained a concussion.

“The guy that was hit just missed his race and now has to rebuild his bike,” the filmer added.

He had 4 ribs, collarbone, concussion. He stood laying, when we rolled on. I asked his teammates, and being told that he's not quite ok, but should be fine soon.
