This is the remarkable sight of around 300 buffaloes crossing southern China’s Jialing River so they could eat grass on an island.

The clip, shot in Nanchong City in Sichuan Province on August 16, shows hundreds of buffaloes lining up to swim across the river to reach the island at dawn.

According to reports, the phenomenon happens every day between April and October and the animals swim back to the mainland at dusk.
