Two-year-old boy reacts badly to first-ever fairground ride

This baby boy freaked out when he went on a ride at a famed pleasure park in Margate, south-east England, for the first time.

Little Edgar, who had just turned two, rode the Up, Up and Away attraction at the Dreamland pleasure park with dad David.

The innocuous-looking attraction takes to the air in a hot air balloon-type contraption and spins riders around.

But this funny selfie video shows Edgar nearly losing mind - before everything turns out fine in the end.

Explains dad David: “Little Edgar had just turned two, so we as a family - that's me, mum and older brother Arthur (aged six) - travelled from home in Hertfordshire to Dreamland.

“Edgar had never ridden on anything like this before - this is the Up, Up and Away ride. The Dreamland website says this ride's ‘colourful spinning tubs and flashing lights will please even the youngest of visitors.’

“Yet Edgar was so nervous at first and didn't know what was going on once we started going up in the air and spinning round. You can see him hold on to my arm tight and bury his face into my arm.

“But as he went on, Edgar's confidence grew and he started to enjoy the ride. He even smiles towards the end and lets out a happy ‘weeee’ and manages a high five at the end with me. I was very proud of him!”
