HOUSE FIRE SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA

Buy video

On Tuesday night, police and firefighters responded to a call that an abandoned and previously boarded up house caught fire in the southwest section of Philadelphia. Emergency vehicles and personnel blocked off the intersections at 67th and Greenway streets as well as 67th and Upland. It is not clear what started the fire nor if there were any fatalities. However, neighbors do report seeing a middle-aged bearded man going in and out of the abandoned structure. He had apparently been living inside for the past several months. This area of the city has seen fatal house fires in the past.
