A bizarre video has emerged of a snake eating a squirrel in a park in Trenton, SC, USA on Saturday.

The footage, captured by local resident Matt Cooper, shows the black snake devouring the unlucky squirrel whole, before leaving the scene with a full stomach.

“I was walking my dog when we discovered this snake wrapped around the squirrel and rolling. I guess we got too close and the snake left the dead squirrel and went back in it's hole. We waited until the snake had the squirrel in it's mouth before trying to get close to it. That's when I started recording,” Matt later wrote online.
