CCTV captures coyotes attacking pet cat in Arizona, US
A dramatic video has emerged from the US of a pair of coyotes attacking a pet cat.
In the footage, captured on a home security camera in Phoenix, AZ, the coyotes can be seen wandering a residential neighbourhood shortly after 1:00am when they spot the cat and launch their attack.
Fortunately they eventually drop the cat to the ground and it manages to limp home.
“This was my neighbor's cat,” the filmer later wrote online.
“Right after this video ended I took the cat to an emergency vet [where he was treated for a wound on his face]. No broken bones. The moment the coyotes dropped the cat was when I opened my garage door.”
Although the footage was captured in September 2014, it has only recently emerged online.
