Time lapse shows massive smoke cloud from Charlie Fire

The fast-moving Charlie Fire near Castaic, northwest of Los Angeles, spread to 3,380 acres on Sunday, September 23.

This video shows a time lapse of the fire condensed from one minute to 36 seconds.

According to local media, the blaze broke out at 2:40 pm on Saturday, spreading quickly and prompting evacuations in the area. Roads in the vicinity were also shut.

Latest figures as of the evening showed the fire at 20% containment. Officials said no structures were damaged and no injuries were reported.
