Join us in the flight deck as the Auto Pilot is disconnected around 500 feet above the ground. Flying a precision approach using the Instrument Landing System (ILS) to guide us on the perfect path to the runway. The pilots battle with the controls to keep the aircraft on the ideal trajectory. Just before we land, we kick the rudder to straighten the aircraft with the runway to avoid veering off onto the grass. We don't try to land smooth in tough conditions as the goal is to get all of our passengers to their destination safely. It may have been bumpy, but it was a SAFE landing, we landed where we SHOULD have landed (big white markers on the runway), and we landed ON the centreline of the runway.
