Several counties reported severe thunderstorms in the area. According to local weather authorities, the storm was moving northeast at around 25 miles per hour.

Oklahoma, a state located in Tornado Alley, has seen unusually few tornados this year. 14 confirmed tornados have been reported so far in 2018, compared with 62 in 2017.
