Icelandair flight FI688 from Orlando to Rekjavik was forced to make an emergency landing on October 20 after a window in the cockpit reportedly shattered.

Video filmed by passenger Charlie Love shows passengers waiting in the terminal of the tiny airstrip to collect luggage as their prepare to head to emergency accommodation.

Love wrote later online: "Plane descended from 35,000 ft rapidly to land in Bob Quinn Lake Airport.

"Captain spoke to us briefly on the descent to say: 'all the aircraft systems are intact.'

"Once we landed total left window on flight deck had shattered but held so we didn't depressurise!"

No-one was hurt in the incident.

Icelandair said on Twitter: "Flight FI688 from Orlando to Iceland was on route over Canada when pilots noticed a crack in one of the cockpit windows.

"Following standard procedures, they diverted to a nearby airport in Bagotville."
