A hungry chipmunk in New York state decided to stock up for the winter on some leftover spaghetti.

The filmer said: "Since the refrigerator was full, and the temps were low, we put a leftover bowl of Barilla spaghetti on the back porch overnight. The next day we realised this chipmunk was stealing strands of spaghetti. He was stuffing them in his cheeks full, then running away and stashing them, and then coming back for more. He was at it all day."

He also added: "Since the average lifespan of an eastern chipmunk is 3 years, I’d say he’s probably not much older than that. Though given the food he’s eating, he’s probably going to develop diabetes by early winter."
