A dramatic video has emerged capturing the moment two sprint cars crashed at a race in Ventura, California, US earlier this month.

The footage, captured by a camera mounted inside one of the race cars, shows two buggies colliding on a turn in the Ventura Raceway ractetrack and then one of the cars performing two barrel rolls.

Corey Hoover, the 16 year-old racer who captured the action from behind remained impressively calm.

No injuries were reported.
