A mysterious floating white object was spotted in a harbour outside Amsterdam in the Netherlands on December 13, where it drew a large number of seabirds trying to eat it.

This large white floating object was spotted in a small harbour area by the NSDM-Werf which lies on the river IJ just outside Amsterdam, and didn't seem to emit any odour, suggesting it was not an animal carcass or fatberg.

It is still unknown what the object was that both attracted the birds to it but did not seem to be organic.
