Buy video

October 7, 2018 around 8:30PM in southeastern Iceland ( along ringroad 1, near Starmýri 2a cottages, Starmýri, Djúpivogur, Iceland). There was a geomagnetic storm of cat. G1 / Kp5 and it started very early at nightfall and lasted much of the night. Here is footage in timelapse filmed between 8:15 and 9PM or so. Later it weakened momentarily, went into pulsating mode, but still covered basically the entire sky. Later I relocated further southwest, then returned, and every now and then the aurora got brighter again. This is timelapse filmed in video fps override with Canon EOS 80D and Rokinon 16mm f/2 lens.
