Man knits his beard for Movember
A cool video has emerged of a man knitting his beard and moustache to raise awareness for ‘Movember’.
The footage, captured late last month, shows Bill, a Kiwi who lives in Oxford, UK, pretending to knit his beard while he gives the viewer facts about prostate and testicular cancers to encourage men to have check-ups.
By the end of the video Bill has removed all of his facial hair so he can begin his 30 day Movember campaign.
“I started making daft Movember movies four years ago, after hearing of a brother-in-law having prostate cancer. After last year’s Movember I grew the beard just to make this film” Bill later wrote online.
According to the Movember official website "The Movember Foundation challenges men to grow moustaches during Movember (formerly known as November), to spark conversation and raise vital funds for its men’s health programs. To date, 4 million moustaches have been grown worldwide".
