Heavy snow disrupted transport in parts of northern Greece on Wednesday, closing major highways and immobilising tracks as temperatures dipped.

In the northern city of Florina, temperatures fell to as low as -23 degrees Celsius, according to local media. Forecasts predict more chilly weather mid-week.
