Forest officials rescued a lion cub who had fallen into a well in Gujarat district, West India.

Footage captured on January 22 shows the villagers pulling the cub out of the well by using a rope tied around the feline’s body.

The owner of the well found the cub and informed the forest officials who then rushed to the spot.

In a two-hour rescue operation, the forest officials went into the well and pulled the cub using the ropes tied on its body.

Though the cub did not have any injury, the forest officials were concerned about its survival as such a young feline.
