A cute video has emerged of a protective mother seal patting and cuddling her pup at a nature reserve in Lincolnshire, UK.

The beautiful footage was captured by a visitor to the Donna Nook National Nature Reserve on Saturday.

According to the Reserve’s website: “For much of the year the grey seals are at sea or hauled out on distant sandbanks.”

“Every November and December, the seals give birth to their pups near the sand dunes: a wildlife spectacle which attracts visitors from across the UK.”
