While riding on the R subway line from Manhattan to Brooklyn in New York City, a commotion ensued between a couple sitting on the train with their shopping bags at their feet, and a group of youngsters. The kids were kind of loud taunting each other and pushing each other around, when one of them stepped on the bags and also the woman's foot. The man turned to a few people sitting near him and asked why they were tolerating this disturbing behavior and not saying anything to the kids to demand that they behave on the train, when suddenly he got up to confront them about what they had done. Words were exchanged and it escalated from that point. What wasn't filmed was the reactions after the incident. Other passengers on the train either applauded the man's actions or condemned what he did, and two sides formed. People were screaming at each other, and some were cursing at each other in Spanish, English, and Russian, because they either thought what he did was necessary or it was too extreme a reaction. In a way the aftermath was a lot more raucous than the confrontation that i videoed. Darn low battery in my cell prevented me from filming it.
