Bright bolide fireball meteor in aurora

Buy video

While filming and taking photos of a faint low band of northern lights in Iceland suddenly a very bright 'shooting star' appeared, a bright fireball meteor . One camera , on tripod, was filming the aurora next to my rental cottage , when suddenly the meteor appeared at extreme left edge of frame. It exploded outside the frame but was so bright that it still illuminated the sky, as seen in the video.
camera Sony a7s , lens Sigma 16/1.4 , at very high ISO because aurora was very faint at that time ( some noise visible )

Another camera was shooting photos and it caught the bolide, too.
2nd camera Canon EOS 6D, lens Samyang 12mm f/2.8
10 seconds exposure at ISO 5000 and f/2.8

this was at Sandgerdi cottages in SW Iceland ( a few miles NW of KEF airport )

Local time was 03:14 AM
