Met Police's anti-moped crime Scopion unit responds to a call on Bayswater Road

Metropolitan Police 'Scorpion' unit, which is part of Operation Venice, responding along Bayswater Road in London with blue lights and siren. 'Scorpion' units are a standalone unit which fall under the umbrella of the Met Police Roads Transport Policing Command (RTPC) and were formed as part of Operation Venice to tackle moped crime. 'Scorpion' officers are specially trained to make tactical contact with mopeds, regardless if the rider is wearing a helmet, to prevent hazardous chases that poses a threat to the public.
