Rattlesnake bites camera while being ushered out of road in Texas

This was the moment a Diamondback Rattlesnake bit a GoPro camera while being ushered away from the middle of a Texas highway.

The reptile is reluctant to move from the road but when the camera, which was on an extendable monopod, drew in closer it backed off into the undergrowth at the edge of the road.

When in somewhat safety the snake, still feeling threatened by the filmer, attacks the camera with a quick snap bite resulting in audio being reduced as venom entered the microphone.

The footage has emerged recently but was filmed in March 2017.
