Russian power workers help build pylons at over 10,000-foot altitude

A powerline builder in south-west Russia filmed his team's efforts in erecting a number of pylons above the snowline in the Caucasus mountains, over 3000m (10,000 feet) above sea level.

Video, filmed in March, shows how workers and supplies must be brought weekly by helicopter to the remote mountain area, as well as how snowy weather conditions caused difficult delays.

The filmer commented of the issues: "The hardest thing at high altitude is lack of oxygen."
