In a heartwarming moment a two-year-old takes his first baby steps on a prosthetic leg at ICRC Kabul in Afghanistan last Thursday (May 16).

Toddler Sadiq was suffering from congenital amputation, a birth defect that causes missing limbs, in this case he was born without his right leg, which was finally treated with a prosthetic leg that allowed him to finally walk.

He received his new limb at Kabul’s ICRC centre under supervision of Mulkara Rahimi who is his physiotherapist there.

According to Mulkara this is a touching moment for her to see Sadiq walking on his own for the very first time.
