This heartwarming video shows an 82-year-old British man with dementia who still enjoys a good sing-song as he delivers a cheerful rendition of "Singin' in the Rain" on the way to a therapy session.

Filmed on June 5, support worker Diane Vose was stunned to find out that Maurice's singing voice is still what it used to be.

Maurice Smith used to sing professionally in local dance bands in the 1950s and 60s - but lost touch with the talent after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's five years ago.

Diane got Maurice, from Warminster, Wiltshire, involved in a local Alzheimer's Society charity's 'Music for the Mind' singing therapy sessions.

The song "Singin' in the Rain" became popular after a movie, with the same name, was released in 1952 including the song as its centrepiece.
