New Zealand actor Manu Bennett, famous for his roles in The Hobbit film series and Spartacus TV series, was caught on camera in a bizarre incident that saw him strip naked and dance at an ancient Romanian fort.

Filmed on May 29 at the historic defensive site of Sarmizegetusa Regia, a group of passing tourists filmed the actor sprinting to the centre of the site while completely disrobing and then performing a full Ka Mate haka.

The filmer commented: "Totally random encounter. Nobody knew who this guy was at the beginning."

Manu Bennett performed a naked Haka to give tribute to the Dacian people. The Haka was performed for the sole purpose of showing respect to indigenous cultures, as the Historic Dacian suffered from Roman repression. The sound of thunder was roaring as Manu was calling for Zamolxis.
